Here's a little nugget of truth for your consideration today - and I think it clearly illustrates our current state in the Body of Christ.
First, Isaiah prophesied:
"How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
...and Paul would later echo the sentiment as such:
"And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
Biblical scholars and backyard theologians; I well know that you've likely heard this eloquently preached over, and have likely read it for yourselves a million times. Even so, I must ask... do you see it?
The Lord God inspired the prophet to proclaim, "How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news" - and the million dollar question is: why not the hands (which might emphasize benevolence) or the heart (denoting love) - or perhaps the eyes, which would speak of intelligence? Why the feet?
You needn't strain yourself, for the answer to the question is sitting in plain sight for all to see.
By emphasizing the feet of those who bring good news, The Lord was actually shining a light on the recipient of the good news - not the bearer. For I tell you the truth - you will never be properly positioned to receive such news unless you can SEE THE FEET. The hidden wisdom of this scripture isn't only the good news (of the Gospel), but the condition of those who have humbled themselves to receive it.
In short - you are on your knees. You are on your face before your God.
We have raised up whole generations of people (in the West) who have little (or no) experience on their knees before their God. Our leaders have taught them that the invitation to "come boldly before the throne" somehow negates the necessity to humble themselves in the presence of God. Yet these same individuals (who think or teach that praying from a position of prostration is outdated or old fashioned) would quickly find their own knees if they somehow found themselves in the presence of human royalty. How much more so should that apply to the Creator of Life and the King of Kings?
We have wandered far from the truth, and the Fear of God has all but evaporated from our midst.
Get ready - GOOD NEWS is coming, and the church WILL BE properly positioned to receive that good news when it arrives. Things are about to befall this nation to prepare her for the coming of her King; who (despite her great wickedness and duplicity) has made provision for her reclamation. These judgments will be redemptive, but woe to those who refuse to find their knees in this critical hour.
Yeshua is the King of Kings and He reigns on High at the right hand of our Holy Father, The Lord God Jehovah - the Source of All Life Himself. Any who humble themselves in His presence will be exalted - while those who exalt themselves shall be humbled.
He is coming. HE IS COMING - and there is no sight in the universe as gorgeous as those beautiful nail-scarred feet.
Come Lord Jesus - even so.
Your brother and servant in Christ Jesus our Lord,
