Grateful to our Holy Father and to His faithful children - who rose up in a cascade of prayer to cover our nation for the sake of justice. This day was not just about the confirmation of one man to the supreme court - it was a referendum on our entire legal system and the American rule of law.
Had the wicked succeeded in this salient moment, a crippling precedent would have been set for generations to come. It was too close for comfort. The waggle of a finger must never be permitted to ruin a life without the firm support of hard evidence and legitimate corroborating witnesses. NO MAN, WOMAN, or CHILD should EVER be presumed guilty until proven innocent.
Ever.
It goes without saying that every REAL crime should certainly be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. But too many people are bringing false accusations with little (or no) fear of reprisal these days. When God set His law in place for the Hebrews, a false accusation was taken seriously - and there were dire consequences. And though we no longer live under the Mosaic Law, God never changes - and this is what The Almighty said about false accusations:
"If a malicious witness takes the stand to accuse someone of a crime, the two people involved in the dispute must stand in the presence of the Lord before the priests and the judges who are in office at the time. The judges must make a thorough investigation, and if the witness proves to be a liar, giving false testimony against a fellow Israelite, then do to the false witness as that witness intended to do to the other party. You must purge the evil from among you." Deut. 19:16-19
We need to see precedents like this restored into good society once more - to keep the scales of justice perfectly balanced against those who will always rise up to falsely accuse. There need to be REAL consequences for attempting to ruin a person's life if that person is proven innocent (by the evidence).
We've dodged a serious bullet here - and in a way that would have impacted an entire nation, had the scales tipped in the other direction.
With a sigh of relief and a kiss lifted to Heaven, I wish you all a pleasant evening.
God bless you all, in Yeshua's Holy Name.
